Preamble
A member of GCU fraternity, we strive to grow in wisdom, spiritual understanding and service to the community at large. We honour the diversity of individuals while establishing values we can all share. As scholars, we endeavour to maintain a high level of academic integrity. As learners, we aspire to be responsible citizens of mutual appreciation and respect. We pledge, then, our dedication to the community tenets of intellect, respect and integrity.

Learning
We commit ourselves to lifelong curiosity and learning, to the search for knowledge and to intellectual creativity.

Respect
We commit ourselves to honour the worth, dignity and freedom of ourselves and all creation and to treat others as we wish to be treated.

We commit ourselves to truth, honesty, dependability, and responsibility in all our actions and relationships.

Declaration
I declare that these standards as vital to my continued growth as a person. I realize that nothing is achieved by those from whom nothing is expected. I also recognise that constantly challenging myself to become a better person is the only way to achieve that end. I therefore, join this covenant with the GC University Lahore and vow to uphold the principles of learning, respect and integrity.

It provides higher education to enhance professional practice, to serve the Pakistan society at large and to provide a platform to enable students to reach their maximum intellectual, personal and career potential.

History of GC University Lahore The College was established on 1st January 1864 and temporarily housed in the Zilla School in a portion of Dhyan Singh's Haveli. In April 1871 the college moved to a large bungalow near Anarkali. In 1873 its location was changed to another house called Rahim Khan's Kothi. It was in 1876 that the college moved into the present building. The construction had started almost mid 1872 and was completed in 1877.
